Our hand painted timber doors are manufactured from Sustainable Tasmanian oak and then hand painted using either a green star rated Low Voc water based topcoat or milk paint finish both finishes are then clear coated with a water based clear for added protection.

We have several different finishes available in our hand painted series

Hand painting

As stated by heading these doors are individually hand painted with a paint brush - customers can either choose low or heavy brush marks

Rub through

Rub through kitchen doors are firstly hand painted with desired colour and once dry are carefully sanded to expose natural wood or first coat to reproduce an antique affect prior to the clear coat being applied all doors are placed in their positions and particular attention is then given so that a nice balance is created giving visual appeal.

Distressed

Distressed doors are hand painted and then several different methods are used to leave slight indentations for that used look a distressed kitchen door finish can also be incorporated with rub through effect

Bleed through

Bleed through doors are finished in a way that lets the doors original browning bleed through the top coat giving it a truly rustic effect no 2 doors are the same and bleed through is a natural occurrence and control is only very limited

Two tone

Yes we can also finish your kitchen doors in a two tone finish frame one colour and centre panel another colour - available in any of the options above

Sprayed

Yes we also finish these doors using conventional spraying techniques this gives the doors a flat appearance while we try and keep wood grain feature through out

Colours

Water based topcoats are available in an unlimited range while milk paint finish is available in limited colours
